Disrupted Plans
I apologize that I have not posted as much content here as I had hoped I would. 2019 was a doozy of a year for me personally, as it included a move back to New York City. 2020 started off promising, though incredibly busy, with me looking forward to planned trips to Spain for Easter, Paris in May, and then Italy in the fall. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, 2020 quickly went off the rails.
NYC bars and restaurants closed on March 16, 2020, and all other non-essential businesses closed on March 22, 2020. Initially, I thought that during NY on Pause, I would be able to spend my extra time catching up on the many posts I have in process. However, the bad news coming from all quarters, including NYC becoming the epicenter of the global pandemic, has resulted in me being uninterested in writing.
However, starting this past weekend, there appears to be hope. New cases, hospitalizations, and deaths from COVID-19 are falling significantly falling here in the city and state of New York, and for the first time Governor Cuomo has put details to a plan to open back up. Even more importantly, my family and friends all over the world have so far stayed healthy and safe.
The good news has motivated me to get back to writing so that when this is over, and we can travel again, perhaps something here will inspire your next adventure.
